Sunday's Elimination Games---Who Ya Got??? Being Reported Games Pushed Back to 5pm
First up: Alabama vs Florida Florida's star Freshman pitcher, Keagan Rothrock, got Rocked by Texas last night 10-0 in 5 innings. Couldn't even make it out of the 1st inning. Alabama got two very good pitchers, Senior Kayla Beaver and Freshman Jocelyn Briski. It's do or die for both teams and ya gott...

Re: Saturday WCWS Games --> Sooners vs Bruins and Texas vs Florida
Believer is probably correct about Terry...I mean, she may be a freshman but freshmen are full of adrenaline and she's going to be amped up and ready to go...right? But for this game I am going to say that Tinsley gets the call. All season long, the Bruins have brought Terry along with the "Ala...

Re: Friday's Games @ the WCWS - Bama-Duke & Cardinals -Cowgirls
"Bout ready to put the second game to bed. I would have never predicted a run rule for Stanford. Really weird seeing OSU wilt every time they are in the WCWS. They are much better than they showed in this game but I don't know how to explain it - when the lights are on brightest they fold more...

Re: Friday's Games @ the WCWS - Bama-Duke & Cardinals -Cowgirls
Hard to win a game when you don't score a run. OSU went 0-fer in OKC. Crazy considering their bats were good thru regionals and supers. I think like a few mentioned above- they can't figure out how to get over the hump once they get to the wcws. Also, kg does seem bitter about OU. Maybe their goal ...

Re: So who pitches on Sat v UCLA?
I agree I think we probably start Maxwell. I like what Tropical brought up about Keeney. I think the good part is that UCLA isn't familiar with Maxwell from what I remember - so that should bode well for us I think. I also believe Kelly hasn't been performing up to her standard yet in the post seas...

Re: Friday's Games @ the WCWS - Bama-Duke & Cardinals -Cowgirls
I like Beaver a lot--but I think that they might go with Briski tonight. Regardless, either pitcher will need the Bama offense to show up and I don't think they have one. Bama's pitching may start out better but I think Dukes pitching is good enough to go the distance with them and Duke does have th...

Re: So who pitches on Sat v UCLA?
Don't forget we have a secret weapon. Karlie Keeney. She went up against Brooke Yanez and Megan Faraimo in last year's final regional game. After the Bruins scored 1 run in the 1st, Keeney shut them down and pitched 6 scoreless innings winning 2-1 and sending them home to watch the rest of post seas...

Re: Is anyone watching what is happening to Washington Softball?
I'm not sure that it's so much any kind of systemic issue within the program myself. But there are some curious events that seemed to have convergence. I do think the pending doom of joining the B1G and the huge travel issues were a motivating factor for some. In fact, I think there will be more por...

Re: 2025 softball recruits.
Will these ladies stick with OU? I know Arkansas (from listening to hog sports on radio) seem to be going after Parker from Pocola pretty hard. I have heard rumors of this too, 123gone, and I hope that is all it is, is rumors. I don't know the "rules" about tampering when a girl announces...

Re: Two Primary Themes about the WCWS, the day before it starts:
I always enjoy reading your posts, OUBeliever56A - - you are the ultimate sunshine pumper, LOL. All pessimism or optimism aside, I really believe that OUr ladies on this year's softball team have a more daunting task to add #4 to our collection than previous OU teams. Granted, it's ALWAYS tough to ...

A Quick Look at WCWS Day 1 Teams in the Sooners Side of the Bracket
Let's just win. That simplifies things. All the teams in this year's World Series belong here. Pre-season, I had high expectations for Senior laden teams like Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and of course, the Sooners. But Alabama was able to beat Tennessee, UCLA won over Georgia, and Stanford took care of...
