Re: "Lil Red"

When I was a student OU, little red was Kirk Kickingbird. They said he was a full blood Nstive American Indian. I always felt his representation was respectful, not at all clownish.

Re: 23 YEARS AGO TODAY...

I was at that game. We had a great time. Two quick memories: our fans chanted “Oklahoma” to their Indian war chant. Their end of the field had almost nobody in the fourth quarter even though the score was only 6-0. Our defense smothered them the whole game.

I was also at that game. I had been to every one since 1963. They won almost every game before that one. I think we were 1-6 or so. I was in the South end zone pretty low, I think that was the game that the refs had us come back on the field for one play. Some players had removed their shoes.

Re: Jaden Davis Interview (LiaR related)

I felt Lincoln wanted to throw that game too. When he put Gray back to field that 4th quarter punt instead of Mims who had been doing it all year. That muff cost us the game. I felt sorry for Eric being put in that position .

The Big Bopper was one of the three pop stars killed in the crash that inspired the song “The day the Music Died.” The others were Richie Valens and Buddy Holly.
His most famous recording was Chantilly Lace.

Well I don,t feel that way at all. I thank DG for the find young man he is & his hard work he put in, helping this team to be better. I thank Jeff Lebby for the work he put in as building our offense to #4 in the country. Jeff Lebby is not his father in law, & should not be branded as so, j...

Re: Kicker

He does have good distance. He has the yips, I think. You don’t really want to commit to never trying a field goal because the defense then can change their calls too.

Re: not sure if this has been posted but....

OU has gone overboard on the whole media/music/noise effect at games. Went to a game a couple of years ago and was so tired of having my senses assaulted by the constant barrage of noise. Let the crowd/fans be the noise makers!! I wrote a letter last year to Castiglione about this. The noise is rea...

Don’t they have any integrity?

First, I don’t like to complain about officiating. And I know that if we played better, the refs would be unable to stop us. Finally,I acknowledge that the big12 wanted us to lose. What about the individual referees? How do they sleep at night? Don’t they have any integrity? Just two examples (among...

Re: Week 10 Pick'em Games - Week 9 Results

Eman, I am really curious how your 1 year old granddaughter could pick the number 20 game. Our grandkids could barely walk and couldn’t talk at all. Unless she’s pushing two. Even then. I believe you, but it must have been like a aouji board. :ou: I understand. What we did was lay out two items in ...
