Here are the conferences with more than one team: |Name|# of Hosts|# in Tournament|# in Conference|%| |:--|--:|--:|--:|--:| |Southeastern|8|13|13|100%| |Pacific 12|...

Duke advances to the Regional Final
Alabama and SE Louisiana are tied in the bottom of the 7th with SE Louisiana hitting.
Tennessee scores 2 in the top of the 1st against Virginia and maybe should have had more.

Scouting Cleveland St
The Vikings had a 22-24 record this year and got to the tournament by winning the Horizon League Tournament. They tied for third in the regular season. I don't recognize any of their opponents being NCAA Tournament teams. They are coached by Amy Kyler in her 6th year. She was one of the best pitcher...

If Jordy had stayed, I'm not sure that we would have picked up Keeney. Maybe, maybe not. If not, we still would have picked up Maxwell.

Re: Taking on 3-0
Almost nobody swings at a 3-0 pitch. It's not just us. In fact, I can't remember the last time that I saw anybody in softball swing at a 3-0 pitch. Blame analytics all you want, but a pitcher who can't throw a strike in the first three pitches isn't likely to throw 3 straight strikes, let alone the ...

Re: Sooner Softball scores 9 runs in 1st / 7th to win 10-2 over UCF!
Having coached baseball for a dozen years, I tend to look at games as a coach. Whether the official scorekeeper rules something is an error or not means nothing to a coach. You know when a player makes a mistake. There was a ball hit over Boone's head that she initially broke in on and then had to t...

Patty's going to keep coaching as long as she's enjoying it. I don't think she has a goal of passing any other coach in anything. It will happen as long as she is still enjoying it.

Re: Houston Game 1: Beginning of a Sooner Surge?
I've heard people making a big deal about leaving 12 runners on base in the first Houston game. Well 3 of those 12 were because we walked it off in the 6th. We left 3 runners on base with only 1 out. I've never put much weight on total LOB. A two out walk often ends in a runner LOB. If we score 4 ru...
